The ability to listen and understand the issues so that we can identify the needs and meet them in the most efficient and useful way for our clients. Listening well to their needs for the deepest understanding is already a big step towards meeting them!

Responsible for Finance and HR at element54. Has a knack for spotting a number that’s out of place, and bringing out the best in people. Master baker and chef. Pilates, Tennis, Biking, Skiing and happiest when moving forward.

What excites you about marketing research?
I’m a learner at heart, so what excites me is the idea of being in a profession where I can constantly learn about different industries and use research-backed insights to help my clients grow their business. It also doesn’t hurt that I get to collaborate with some of the brightest and kindest researchers everyday.

What excites you about marketing research?
Investigating consumer behaviour and brainstorming research approaches. Alternate careers would have involved some type of deductive reasoning and delving into the human psyche. Dr. House M.D. and Sherlock Holmes are fictional characters that exemplify my desire to solve for the unknown!

My inquisitive nature and love for asking the question “why?”. Research lends itself to the ability to always be learning something new, to really understand why consumers make certain choices, and how that can make a positive impact for our clients.

What brought you to marketing research?
I always liked reading mystery books and watching TV mystery shows. In marketing research, as in mystery solving, you need to create hypotheses, do research and find the clues that will give you your answers. It’s the process of setting hypotheses to be a good detective of consumer behaviour that I love!

What excites you about marketing research?
My favourite thing about marketing research is spending time immersed in and learning about different products, brands and industries and then changing it up to something completely different the next week.

I love a good story and learning about new ways to use data that lead to actionable insights. Market research is the perfect avenue to do that as it enables me to be involved in exciting projects, and help clients grow by analyzing consumer data and tell a compelling story around it.

With a BA in Psychology, I was already passionate about understanding how people think, I just wasn’t sure how to translate this to the business world. Market research became the perfect niche to marry my interests together. 20 years later, I continue to be passionate about helping companies harness the power of consumer opinion to achieve success.

What excites you about market research?
Having been a student or teacher for 40 years during my time on this planet, education and knowledge have impacted who I am today. Just like education, marketing research can be a great equalizer and allow persons and companies of any size and background to be successful. The key is making sure people understand that they can do, and it is my job to help.
